In Britain you are never more than 45 miles from the coast so it is never far to the nearest beach. Cornwall and the English Riviera in the southwest country of Devon offer rocky coastlines, sandy bays and many a picturesque fishing village. In the southeast, old resort towns like Brighton and Bognor Regis are perfect for lazing in deck chairs or strolling along the pier with an ice cream and preferably a decent umbrella.

Cornwall und die Englische Riviera in der südwestlichen Grafschaft Devon bieten Felsküsten, sandige Buchten und viele malerische Fischerdörfer. Die alten Seebäder im Südosten wie Brighton und Bognor Regis sind ideal zum Faulenzen in Liegestühlen oder zum Schlendern mit einem Eis an der Promenade und am besten einem anständigen Regenschirm.
