SWITZERLAND/ SCHWEIZ
Switzerland is situated in Western Europe. It borders Germany in the north, Austria and the Principality of Liechtenstein in the east, Italy in the south and France in the west. Bern is the capital of Switzerland and the canton. Switzerland has four national languages: German, French, Italian and Rhaeto-Rumantsch, which like Italian and French, is a language with Latin roots. The proportion of forigners in the resident population is high. Good news for tourists as well: Switzerland has managed to construct one of the best public transport networks in the world.

Die Bundeshauptstadt Bern ist zugleich die Hauptstadt des Kantons. Deutsch, Französisch, Italienisch und Rätoromanisch. Das gehört zu einer Untergruppe der romanischen Sprachen. Der Anteil an Ausländern an der Gesamtbevölkerung ist relativ hoch. Gute Nachricht für Touristen: das öffentliche Verkehrsnetz der Schweiz zählt zu den besten der Welt.
