PARIS

Paris is the capital city of France. It is situated on the River Seine. Centuries of cultural development has brought Paris a variety of monuments and museums. Its internationally recognized symbol is the Eiffel Tower. The Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe and the Cathedral of Notre Dame also belong to the city's masterpieces. At the end of the 18th century Paris became the centre stage for the French Revolution. Paris and its metropolitan area is one of the most multi-cultural in Europe.
