Rome is the capital city of Italy. The 'Eternal City' is located in the western part of the Italian Peninsula. There is another independent country within the boundaries of Rome: Vatican City. Rome's history is legendary, the city was founded in 753 BC. The famous epigram >>> Rome wasn't built in a day.<<< means time is needed to create great things.

Rom ist die Hauptstadt Italiens. Die 'Ewige Stadt' liegt im westlichen Teil der Apenninenhalbinsel. Innerhalb der Stadt gibt es einen anderen unabhängigen Staat, Staat der Vatikanstadt. Die Geschichte von Rom ist legendär, die Stadt wurde im Jahr 753 v. Chr. gegründet. Das berühmte Sprichwort >>> Rom wurde nicht an einem Tag erbaut. <<< bedeutet, dass erfolgreiche Dinge ihre Zeit brauchen.
