St. Patrick's Day in Ireland

On 17th March Ireland celebrates the life and work of the patron Saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick. The national apostle died on that day in 460 A.D. This celebration is also called Feast of Saint Patrick and usually involve public parades and festivals.
St. Patrick is most known for driving the snakes from Ireland. The shamrock is the national flower of Ireland. According to legend, Patrick used the three-leaved shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans. The Chapel of St. Patrick still exists at Glastonbury Abbey.

A toast for St Patrick’s Day:
May the roof above us never fall in, and may we friends beneath it never fall out.
